Another goal of Grounded Mama, is to create a community for moms in our rural area to connect, support, and share with one another. Between busy work schedules, chasing older children to activities, and trying to maintain a household, "connection" with other moms often looks like hurried texts to share a quick funny about the kids, or a quick video snap to vent about the most recent inconvenience or frustration we are experiencing. I'm guessing that many of us would say that the quality of our "big kid" conversation is seriously lacking.
With this blog, I hope to spark conversation among our community to bring moms and families together. Whether you simply read a post that hits home and makes you feel just a little bit less alone in parenting, or you actually get in touch in another mom who has been, or is currently, experiencing the same season of parenting. Let's talk openly about the struggles we face in raising children and learn together; let's share our strategies for difficult behaviors, and strategies to manage our own self-care and remain grounded in the midst of those challenging times; let's share our little victories when we witness the wonder in our children's eyes as they learn and grow each day; and most importantly, let's learn together to give ourselves grace.
I have a list of topics that I plan to discuss- ranging from sharing the easiest activities that are great for child development to a discussion on the emotional healing after a birth does not go as planned- but I want to hear from you Mamas!
What topics would you like to discuss among a community of parents (I hope to reach some "Grounded Dads" as well!) who will listen with open minds and share ideas to help along this wild ride that is parenting?

I'm glad you mentioned "Grounded Dads" because I already sent the like of the page to Niki and planned to follow personally as well.
I will definitely be here for a "birth plan gone awry" discussion. At least I hope to be that brave!
